Schrade Old Timer USA 77OT Improved Muskrat Pocket Knives

The Old Timer 77OT is a 3 7/8" closed serpentine jack fitted with carbon steel Turkish Clip blades. The sawed delrin handle, which Schrade called ''Unbreakable Staglon'', is brass pinned to brass liners and flanked with Nickel Silver bolsters.

This USA made Old Timer Improved Muskrat is in Excellent condition. Made in the Schrade Cutlery facility in Ellenville, New York before the closing of Schrade.

Both carbon steel blades are very attractive. They are unsharpened and show only light tarnish starting. The Improved Muskrat etch is visible but faded. The blades are solid and tight with good snap. The nickel silver bolsters have great shine and show only minor carry wear.

The Old Timer 77OT is called the Muskrat from the resemblence to a set of Muskrat ears when opened. It continues to be a popular knife with Trappers and Hunters who like having a back up blade which is keen and sharp after the first blade dulls from skinning so many Muskrats.
