Columbia River Knife and Tool: CRKT Edgie Self Sharpening Knife CR-6442

The CRKT Edgie Knife, designed by Major Howard Pope and custom knifemaker Steve Jernigan. The CRKT Edgie knife features a 2.875'' Wharncliffe blade made of 420J2 stainless steel, .10'' thick, with a Rockwell hardness of 54-56. The satin finished blade of this CRKT knife has a single cutting edge and an oval hole for ambidextrous one hand opening. The checkered black Zytel handle, 4.125'' closed, has dual stainless steel liners, a stainless steel backspring, and a built in aluminum oxide coated spring sharpener. The internal sharpening strip works on the single edge of the blade, forming a tiny burr that serves as a micro serration to help the cutting action. A removable satin finished stainless steel pocket clip is mounted at the pivot end of this CRKT knife. The CRKT Edgie Knife has an overall length of 7.00'' when open and weighs 3.8 ounces.
